Learn Life-Saving Skills from the Experts The Centre of Excellence in Reproductive Health Innovation (CERHI), University of Benin, successfully conducted a Nursing Simulation Training on 19 August 2026 at the CERHI Simulation Laboratory, Benin City. The training, themed “Learn Life-Saving Skills from the Experts,” focused on two essential areas of maternal and newborn healthcare: Normal Delivery of a Baby and newborn resuscitation. The practical, simulation-based programme strengthened participants’ clinical competence, confidence, teamwork, communication, decision-making, and emergency preparedness. One of the mandates of CERHI is to carry out advanced research in Reproductive health leading to products and outcomes that can be patented and commercialized. One of the key objectives of this workshop was to identify priority areas or developmental challenges in reproductive health which if investigated can lead to the discovery of key products, innovations and outcomes.
