THE ACE PROJECT

University of Benin was among several Universities in West and Central Africa that applied for support to establish The Centre of Excellence in Reproductive Health Innovation (CERHI) in disciplines related to Health in the third quarter of 2013. The proposals from the various Universities were subjected to a series of assessments using criteria benchmarked to best international practices. The assessment included reviews of the submitted proposals followed by site visits to selected Universities that scaled the first round of assessment before a list of successful Centres was announced. The World Bank/Association of African Universities (AAU) assessment team visited University of Benin to assess the leadership in the University.
